"I realize that there are many films about the Holocaust, but Sh’ma has a universal message, one that celebrates resilience and hope, transmitted through its outstanding choreography, costuming, and set design. The film’s dancers are from some of the top U.S. dance companies including the Dance Theater of Harlem, expanding the film’s appeal to dance aficionados. Educational materials that were developed for screenings in schools open opportunities for special screenings with youth groups."
